SANTA MONICA—Authorities from the Santa Monica Police Department has arrested the suspect responsible for an assault and fatal stabbing of a man. Officers from the SMPD arrested Theo Andrew Krah on Monday, June 13 in the San Diego County area.

According to a press release from the SMPD, officers responded to a call at 5:06 p.m. to a request for assistance from the Santa Monica Fire Department of a subject down in the 1300 block of 5th Street. The victim was unresponsive and had suffered significant head trauma and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The victim died of his injuries on Sunday, June 12 at 4:40 a.m. Further investigation revealed the deceased was the victim of an aggravated assault and stabbing. Santa Monica Detectives learned the victim, whose name has not been released to the public, was involved in an altercation on the Santa Monica Pier earlier in the day.

Krah was booked at SMPD Jail for homicide and is being held on a $2 million bail. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Detective Daniel Larios (310) 458-8937 or Sgt.
