STUDIO CITY—A total of 750 drivers were pulled over for speeding in Studio City over six months in 2014, particularly at the corner of Laurel Canyon Boulevard and Canton Drive.
The area contains a downward slope where it’s easy to exceed the speed limit of 35 mph.
The corner of Laurel Canyon came in first as the top five most ticketed intersections in the region. The corner of Sunland and Johanna landed in second place, but Laurel Canyon Boulevard had more than double as many as the second-most popular spot.
A speeding ticket can cost anywhere from $250-$500 per ticket.
