HOLLYWOOD —On Sunday night the episode five of “True Blood’s” season two titled “Never Let Me Go” was as fascinating the second time around as it was the very first.

Still in Dallas with Bill and Jessica, Sookie was intent on keeping her part of the bargain and try to find the missing Godric despite the strange behavior of his cohorts. Eric told Bill his true reason for wanting to find Godric. It was revealed to the audience that Godric is Eric’s maker, which is why Eric has such an unbreakable bond and desire to find his missing mentor. Alexander Skarsgard did an incredible job in the scenes as Eric, the sheriff hesitated telling Bill, played by Stephen Moyer the real reason he’s so emotionally connected to this kidnapping case.

There was some levity in the episode as Sookie sought out the bellhop at the hotel, who was very evasive with her once he figured out that she was a telepath just as he is a telepath. The man didn’t want anything to do with Sookie and amazingly and rarely does a man run in the direction away from Ms. Stackhouse. Normally the men on “True Blood” are running in her direction and into her waiting arms.

Back in Bon Temps, most were still recovering from the effects of Tara’s birthday party. Maryann used her evil ways to cause a mass seduction of the partygoers, none of which remembered the night of the party. Sam learned that he and Daphne have more in common that he could ever have imagined. She revealed herself as a shifter, as she morphed from a deer into her human form right before his eyes. Sam Trammell’s reaction as an actor playing Sam Merlotte was on the spot. The handsome star showed surprise, then relief that he could possibly share his secret and his life with a person who truly understands him. Fans of the series know however that the romance is ill-fated between the shifters.

Maryann announced that she was moving into Sookie’s house and when told that she couldn’t, soon cast a spell on Tara to get her to change her mind. Over at the Light of Day Institute, Jason continued to impress with his leadership skills. Fed up with husband Steve’s lack of attention and respect however, Sarah Newlin decides to spend a little private time with Jason. Which in turn will lead to Jason showing Sarah just what skills he’s best known for.
