Investigations and autopsies are currently ongoing as the bodies were found extremely decomposed. One of the victims has been identified as Jesus Ocegueda, 30, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Ocegueda was a cook who worked in downtown Los Angeles in a restaurant at LA Live called Rosa Mexicana. In a Facebook post from July 31, he said, “Getting it together at my new job. Faster hustle than ever. Love it.”

Ocegueda’s family have set up a GoFundMe to collect donations to cover his funeral expenses.

The victims were discovered by the manager of their apartment, police officials said.

The cause of death of both men is currently unknown.

After Ocegueda was identified, the case was completely turned over to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office, who is currently still conducting an investigation, according to LAPD spokesperson Matthew Ludwig.
