LOS FELIZ—Two suspects were arrested at gunpoint by officers after crashing into a fire hydrant in an allegedly stolen Cadillac Escalade on Sunday, May 12. The drivers fled from officers at high speed in Los Feliz around 3:00 p.m. KTLA5 first reported.

Officers from Los Angeles Police Department’s Olympic Division were able to quell the drivers on Los Feliz Boulevard and Berendo Street when they slammed into a fire hydrant and a parked Prius.

A weapon was recovered from the SUV, while other items were tossed out the window during the chase.

The LAPD contained the water from the fire hydrant which caused serious damage to parked vehicles near the scene.

Canyon News spoke to the LAPD Media Relations Section via phone about the incident. The LAPD reported their were no injuries to the suspects during the incident. The identities of both suspects have not yet been disclosed to the public, as authorities are still investigating the case.
