WEST HOLLYWOOD—On October 7, deputies from the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of two gunmen suspected of carjacking on the outskirts of West Hollywood.

The alleged incident occurred at approximately 2:50 a.m. near Crescent Heights and Santa Monica Boulevard. The two suspects, described as two African-American men approximately 25-30 years old, reportedly accosted the victim, whom they ordered to relinquish the black two-door Mercedez Benz.  The men fled the scene in the stolen vehicle down Romaine in a westward direction, then traveled north on Crescent Heights Boulevard.

Though police from the West Hollywood Sheriff’s station were originally handling the matter, the case is currently being turned over to investigators from the LAPD.  No arrests have been made as of press time.
