WESTWOOD—A 26-year old woman was found dead in her UCLA university apartment on Wednesday, September 13 at around 6:45 p.m.

Firefighters from the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived at the apartment located on 11000 Weyburn Drive at 6:45 p.m. and were followed by the coroner who arrived at 7:00 p.m. It is still unclear how the body was discovered or how the victim, a graduate student, died. The University of California Police Department and UCLA Spokesman Tod Tamberg reported that no foul play was suspected in the death, and it has been ruled out that the death was not a suicide.

The death comes as many UCLA students are returning to campus. Classes for the 2017-2018 school year begin on Monday, September 25. Graduate classes have already started at the university.

Authorities  are currently investigating to determine the cause of death. The name of the victim has not yet been disclosed to the public as her family has not yet been notified.
