SHERMAN OAKS—On Thursday, June 18, at approximately 12:46 p.m. two utility workers were injured at a building in Sherman Oaks.

The incident occurred at the Beverly Glenn Pump Station on the 3600 block of Stone Canyon Avenue. A radiant coolant was released from a diesel pump that managed to injure the two workers. One is currently listed in serious condition and the other worker is in fair condition.

Getting hit by radiant coolant is like hot steam; burns can happen as a result and may lead to infection. Officials are investigating to determine what caused the injuries to the workers.
