BEVERLY HILLSMy name is Daisy, and I want to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very Happy New Year from all of us kitty cats here at the Friends of Animals Foundation-before the year is over! My doggy friends had their chance a few weeks ago, and I know that they included us, but I wanted to speak for myself and all of my friends here in the cattery!
Now, let me tell you a little bit about myself. Some people say that I’m sassy. I guess that’s because I can be a little bossy at times. But that makes me interesting, doesn’t it? You never know what to expect from me!  There are times that I may want to just sit on your lap and demand your full attention. No watching TV, no reading, just ME! Other times, I may want you to play with me, and that can be a lot of fun! Then, of course, seeing that I am a cat, I may just want my alone time. I’m really very friendly, you just have to know, and put up with, my moods.
My family gave me up because someone in the family was allergic to me. I wonder if cats are ever  allergic to some humans. If we are, I bet that we would find a way to stay with our family and wouldn’t give them away. Just a thought.
While I’m being well cared for here, and have lots of friends, I sure would like to be part of a family, again.  So I hope that someone will call to see me.  Don’t forget to check our website at foafla@petfinder.com to see all of my kitty friends, and the many dogs, that are waiting for loving homes.
I’ll leave you with a few quotes that I think that you will like:
“A black cat crossing your path signifies that the animal is going somewhere.” – Groucho Marx
“Cats always know whether people like or dislike them.  They do not always care enough to do anything about it.” – Winifred Carriere
“The trouble with cats is that they get the same exact look whether they see a moth or an ax-murderer.” – Paula Poundstone
“Cats are connoisseurs of comfort.” – James Herriot
