WESTWOOD—Wally’s Wine & Spirits will close one set of its glass doors in Westwood and open another establishment in Santa Monica.

The green-canopied shop, which has been around since 1968, sold expensive and hard-to-find wines and spirits, with some selling upwards to $6,000. Located at 214 Wilshire Boulevard, the Santa Monica location will be inspired by the Wally’s Beverly Hills location and is set to open later this summer.

The store’s accompanying Westwood cheese and charcuterie spot, The Cheese Box, has been closed. A Wally’s representative told Canyon News the wine and spirits store is currently holding a moving sale that offers its customers up to 80 percent off on selected wines at its Westwood establishment and online.
