SAN FRANCISCO—The New Orleans Pelicans hosted Game Four of the NBA Western Conference Semi-Finals on Sunday, May 6, with a chance to even out the series against the Golden State Warriors.

While the Warriors had to soldier in recent weeks without Steph Curry, who was rehabbing a sprained MCL, Curry returned to the team for Game 4. Coach Steve Kerr went with a starting line-up of Stephen Curry, Andre Iguodala, Klay Thompson, Andre Drummond, and Kevin Durant to face the Anthony Davis led Pelicans squad.

Durant scored 38 points, landing 15 out of the 27 shots he aimed. While Curry (originally came back into play during Game 2 of the series), scored 23 points in the 32 minutes that he was on the court for Game 4.

Anthony Davis scored scored 26 points with an additional 12 rebounds, 2 blocks, an assist, and a steal. E’Twuan Moore put 20 points on the board for New Orleans, though the Pelicans added 19 turnovers to their spreadsheet for the game.

The turnovers came with the shutdown of Nikola Mirotic, who only made one out of seven from the field.

There is speculation whether Curry will be able to give the Warriors 100 percent as he continues to test the rehabilitation of his ankle. Analysts have harkened back to the detriment that Curry’s ankle played in their NBA Championship loss to the Cavaliers in 2016.

While there has not been any more information released following the Warrior’s win about Curry’s status, there is one seminal difference between the Warriors of two years ago and today: Kevin Durant. Game 5 will be held in Oakland on Tuesday, May 8.
