PHOENIX, AZ—The Golden State Warriors defeated the Phoenix Suns 106-100, on Sunday, October 30.

Phoenix managed to keep the game close up until the final seconds, with Kevin Durant sealing the game on a pair of free throws. Durant led the Warriors in scoring for the third straight game, putting up 37 points on 10 of 16 shooting with 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Steph Curry was efficient from long range, making 5 of 8 three-pointers and chipping in 28 points.

The Warriors superstar core of Curry, Durant, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson are still learning how to play with one another, and will continue to adapt their games throughout the season. Golden State’s Head Coach Steve Kerr was critical of his team despite their win, citing chemistry as an area of focus moving forward.

“We aren’t clicking and everybody can see that,” said Kerr. “It will come but the main thing while we are going through this process is to continue to compete and try to pick up wins.”

Thompson tallied 14 points while missing all six of his three-point attempts. Green spent much of the game facilitating the Warriors’ potent offense, ending the night with 5 points, 13 rebounds and 9 assists.

Forward T.J. Warren scored 26 points for the Suns, who have yet to win a game this season. Starting Point Guard Eric Bledsoe knocked down 7 of 11 shots for 21 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists.

The Warriors will travel to Portland to face the Trail Blazers in their next match up on Tuesday, November 1.
