STUDIO CITY—The Los Angeles Police Department arrested Yuri Cho, 25, on Monday, July 23 for charges of grand theft after she stole a wedding ring at a nail salon on June 20.
Cho was receiving a pedicure at a nail salon in Studio City located near the 12100 block of Ventura Boulevard when she stole a wedding ring that another client left on a tray at the nail salon. The suspect was caught on surveillance video taking the ring and concealing it in her purse as she was paying the cashier for her treatment. On the day of the incident, the LAPD issued a press release with a photo of the suspect and the $10,000 wedding ring, asking the public for help identifying the suspect.
On July 26, the LAPD made a statement saying that Cho was taken into custody and the ring was recovered and returned to the victim.
