HOLLYWOOD—Weedmaps Museum of Weed featured its grand opening in Hollywood on Saturday, August 3 and will remain open until September 29.

The museum is located on 720 North Cahuenga Boulevard and spans 30,000 square feet. It features seven exhibits including interactive exhibits, historical artifacts, art installations, a special plant section and more.

The first exhibit examines cannabis history throughout time starting before the pre-prohibition era. The pre-prohibition era depicts the many ways different people consumed and utilized hemp. The next exhibit explores the age of hysteria as a result of prohibition then leads into cannabis’ association with the 1960s counter-culture revolution.

Attendants will get to learn about the history of the war on drugs implemented during the Richard Nixon administration. An exhibit exposing the injustices minorities have experienced in the United States by the Reagan administration will also be featured.

The Museum of Weed will feature exhibits that explore the legalization of cannabis and how reformation and pop culture changed the public opinion of cannabis use.

Weedmaps Museum of Weed will have an interactive plant lab that explores everything from cannabinoids to terpenes. The plant lab will show attendants the latest technology and medical research associated with cannabis that can help shape the future of it.
