SHERMAN OAKS—Officials from the Los Angeles Police Department arrested 16 men and multiple firearms and drug paraphernalia after receiving a call reporting suspicion of trespassing on Friday, February 9.
According to LAPD Captain Lillian Carranza, a home burglary in progress was reported on the 14800 block of Hesby Street in Sherman Oaks to the Los Angeles Police Department at approximately 7:15 p.m. Friday.
Upon responding to the call, authorities noticed several people inside the residence. The manager of the property allegedly discovered the intruders illegally residing in the house and enacted a citizen’s arrest prior to calling the police.

A total of 16 men were arrested on suspicion of trespassing. The Daily News reported that the suspects arrested ranged between the ages of 18 to 29. Two of the men were found to have outstanding warrants.
According to Capt. Carranza, police recovered four firearms, including one Tec-9 fully automatic-capable pistol, alcohol and drugs, including five pounds of marijuana. A Ferrari and a Rolls Royce were also found at the scene.
