HOLLYWOOD—Katherine Kelly Lang is on the top of my list of actors who has been ignored far too long by Emmy voters. The beautiful green-eyed diva portrays the sexiest woman in the world, but that is all on a side note to what has become a significantly brilliant and creative actress. Lang, who portrays Brooke Logan on CBS’s “The Bold and The Beautiful” deserves acclaim for making her role so fresh and exciting to viewers. No matter what Brooke does, she manages as an actress to salvage her character for the viewers again and again.

On the list of other “B&B” actors who really deserve to be nominated for an Emmy this year are Ashley Jones (Bridget), Jack Wagner (Nick), Don Diamont (Bill), Ron Moss (Ridge) and Susan Flannery (Stephanie).

On “The Young and the Restless” Jess Walton (Jill) has been unstoppable for months. Her performance leaves you awe struck, and Tracey Bregman (Lauren) is sublime as a woman who can turn on a dime-emotionally. At one moment Lauren is depressed, then defiant and ultimately victorious. Bregman is by far my favorite choice for Lead Actress in a Drama. Other “Y&R” performances that deserve Emmy attention are Sharon Case (Sharon), Michelle Stafford (Phyllis) and Peter Bergman (Jack).

Susan Lucci is deserving as Erica on “All My Children,” and so is Debbie Morgan (Angie). Michael E. Knight (Tad) is always a solid performer, and Jacob Young (J.R.) has come into his own as one of the best leading men in television.

“One Life To Live” Robin Strasser as Dorian is superb. Her leading man Tuc Watkins as David is the best male performance on the show. “Days of Our Lives” Lauren Koslow (Kate) and James Reynolds (Abe) are always fascinating and entertaining.

Constance Towers as Helena is indestructible. However, her astonishing abilities as an actress are sometimes overlooked because of the very outlandish behavior of the villainess she portrays. However, it’s definitely a must-see performance that deserves an Emmy nomination. Steve Burton (Jason) and Laura Wright (Carly) round out the three best and most solid performances on “General Hospital.”
