HOLLYWOOD—We are indeed getting closer to the 2019 Daytime Emmy Awards. The pre-nominees in contention to possibly earn nominations for the 46th annual Daytime Emmy Awards were announced on Thursday, January 24.

There were some surprises and omissions that left me scratching my head a bit. Once again Katherine Kelly-Lang was overlooked for her work on “The Bold and the Beautiful,” as well as Don Diamont. Like Don has been stellar the past year on “B&B” and the fact that he was overlooked is just an absolute travesty in my opinion. At this point I have no clue what Lang and Diamont have to do to earn a bit of love.

Also missing from contention was Camila Banus for her riveting work as Gabi Hernandez on “Days of Our Lives.” It seems like the performers on “Days” are constantly overlooked in the acting races, year after year and it’s a shame. Below is a list of this year’s nominees.
