UNITED STATES−President Donald Trump gave his State of the Union address on Tuesday, February 4.

President Trump spoke on the strides made in the U.S. economy including the military, the lowest unemployment rate in half a century, seven million new jobs, fair and reciprocal trade agreements and record making tax cuts.

He spoke about improved relations with China, lower prescription costs and protecting healthcare for those with pre-existing conditions. President Trump spoke against free government healthcare for illegal aliens. He talked about 500 miles of border wall to be completed, and the appointment of Supreme Court Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh.

Vice President Mike Pence stood just behind the President as did Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. For the third year in a row, Pelosi and Democrats dressed in white and did not clap and remained seated for the POTUS speech except for when he introduced honored guests. Pelosi was making faces, shaking her head, and mouthed something while the Trump was speaking, and gestured something to someone in the back of the room.

President Trump recognized Brig. General Charles McGee who is one of the remaining Tuskegee Airman, and one of the first Black fighter pilots. After 130 combat missions in WWII, McGee went on to serve in Korea and Vietnam. McGee turned 100 on December 7. President Trump introduced McGee’s great grandson, Ian Lanphier, 13, first. Ian, who aspires to be in the U.S. Space Force, said, “Most people look up in space, I want to look down on the world.”

President Trump awarded Philadelphia, Pennsylvania fourth grader Janiyah Davis an opportunity scholarship allowing her mother, Stephanie, who’s a single parent to send Janiyah to the school of her choice.

President Trump reunited Sgt. Williams with his family after an eight-month deployment with his wife and two small children.

Rush Limbaugh, who has recently diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer was recognized and presented by First Lady Melania with the highest civilian honor, the Presidential Medal Freedom.

President Trump recognized a mother and her two year-old child who was born at 1 pound and 8 ounces, speaking against late-term abortion. He acknowledged families that lost loved ones at the hands of two terrorists who are now dead, al-Baghdadi, and Soleimani. Their family members were recognized by President Trump, along with Jody Jones, the brother of Rocky Jones who was killed by an illegal immigrant with five prior arrests.

At the end of the his speech, Pelosi stood and ripped the signed copy of the President Trump’s speech in half.
