WEST HOLLYWOOD—On Thursday, June 4 at 1 a.m., a body was discovered at the 24 Hour Fitness on Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood. The custodian, who found the body, immediately called authorities. Initially, the police had no way of identifying the body because there was no identification located on the victim or anywhere in the gym.
After police confirmed the victim’s identity and notified the next of kin, they confirmed on June 8 as the body belonging to Jon Cory Quinlan, who was 60 years old.
Despite its name, 24 Hour Fitness is actually not open for the full 24 hours; at least this one isn’t. The 24 Hour Fitness on Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood closes from 12 a.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Friday and during weekends from 11 p.m. and 6 a.m.
The cause of death for Quinlan is still be investigated by authorities.
