SANTA MONICA—A former employee of TrueCar Inc. is suspected of fraudulently purchasing over $45,000 worth of Apple laptops using the company’s credit card.

Lieutenant Saul Rodriguez told Canyon News via email that the TrueCar Inc. facility at 120 Broadway reported the fraud to the police.

On Thursday, March 14, Antonio Wahbah was charged for grand theft in taking money exceeding $950. The suspect was taken into custody without any incident at his residence in the 1000 block of 5th Street in Santa Monica Lt. Rodriguez told Canyon News

Computers, cash and a cellphone were recovered along with what authorities are saying is valuable information that will be used as evidence to the case.
