HOLLYWOOD – I must say I was thrillingly entertained by Sunday’s episode of “Revenge.”  It was the perfect balance of drama and intrigue, but also shifted the puzzle pieces for what is sure to be an epic rest of the season. First off, “Disgrace” was more about the Grayson clan thinking they were on the winning side, but little do they know an extravagant scheme is in place to take them down.

First and foremost, Victoria (Madeleine Stowe) finally got the goods on Emily (Emily VanCamp) to take her down, but little did she know that was Emily’s plan the entire time. Nolan (Gabriel Mann) was none too pleased with his newest houseguest, who actual proves himself to be an ally in Nolan’s corner to assist his BFF in her quest for revenge.

The bulk of the episode focused on Stevie (Gail O’Grady) who in my opinion is a welcome character to the foray who provides just the right amount of compassion that makes Victoria finally have an adversary able to take her down.  She may not be the heroine, but she is playing a vital role in helping Jack (Nick Wechsler) and Emily in their quest to bring down the Graysons for all the bad they’ve done.

I will say I was a bit surprised by how quickly Jack and Stevie kind of rekindled their relationship. I mean he wasn’t aware of who his mother was for years and out of the blue, a bomb like that is dropped that rocks his world to the core. A talk with Emily solidifies him in giving his dear ole mom a shot? It happened too quickly in my opinion, but not to digress, let us get back to the action.

Daniel (Joshua Bowman) continued to whine about being married to Emily, really, you shot the woman, you’re lucky she hasn’t turned you into the authorities yet. Can’t believe this, I’m hoping Lydia gets the evidence she needs to swoop back in town and put the nail in the coffin on ole Danny boy. Not to mention Charlotte (Christa B. Allen) who is so naive it irritates me to death. It’s almost like she’s an expendable character at this point who pops up whenever the opportunity is given. It will be interesting to see whose side she aligns with after learning that Emily is her sister: The Grayson clan or The Clarke Clan.

Margaux (Karine Vanasse) was none to pleased with the fact that her father, Pascal, decided to swoop into town for a longer than expected stay. It appears he has eyes for only one woman, and her name is
Victoria.  Hmm, this woman does indeed play hard to get. Perhaps the juiciest drama of the night came between a conversation that Stevie had with Emily about her friendship with Jack, mother always knows best and she sensed that there was more between her son and his friend than she was leading her to believe.

It was in that conversation that the formerly disbarred attorney indicated she visited David Clarke in prison and believed he was innocent, but she got too close to the truth and the Grayson clan took her out. That bit of information she gave to Jack who realized that information about David Clarke’s case was being covered up and he needed Nolan’s help. The duo found and way to obtain the missing evidence, which Emily begged Jack not to become entangled in. That worries me, I think a casualty is in the mix, notably a Grayson may pay the ultimate price this season.

After being embarrassed by the ‘bombshell’ Victoria dropped in the public light, Daniel finally got his wish and Queen Bee thought she finally defeated her enemy. Doesn’t this woman realize Emily is always two to three steps ahead of her, that’s how you win in the game of revenge! The final moments of the episode culminated with Emily sharing with Jack the letter that she discovered which was written by only one person: Pascal. Yeah, things are about to get dicey, as the woman Jack has fallen for might be responsible for taking down her corrupt father. Looks like the leverage is not all in Conrad’s court after all! Until next Sunday “Revenge” lovers.
