CALIFORNIA—FLOAT, which stand for Fly Over All Traffic wants to relieve SoCal residents frustration with traffic by offering daily flights throughout Los Angeles starting in January 2020.

The new service will begin offering daily flights throughout Los Angeles for the purpose of relieving drivers’ frustration with rush hour traffic.

The airline company will start trial routes in December with their target consumers being those who spend more than 90 minutes per day in “bumper-to-bumper” traffic. FLOAT promises its consumers they can fly them across Los Angeles in as little as 15 minutes without the hassle of the TSA lines found at airports.

“We live in a rapidly-evolving society of intense time management and instant gratification, and business professionals and their superiors are quickly realizing that spending hours in traffic is cutting into their productivity and work/life balance,” said FLOAT co-founder and CEO Arnel Guiang in a press release on the company’s website.

While the company is still finalizing details, they have agreements with approximately 40 airports, including Hollywood Burbank Airport, John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana, and Palm Springs Airport.

Pricing and routes can vary, but according to the company’s website, each one-way flight can cost $30 or an individual can choose to pay a monthly base price of $1,250. Each plane can carry nine people and the company offers flights Monday through Friday. For more information visit their website at www.floatshuttle.com.
