HOLLYWOOD, FL—Former NFL star Antonio Brown is being investigated for battery at his home by authorities on Tuesday, January 21.

Brown and his trainer allegedly battered the driver of a moving truck outside his residence in Hollywood, Florida, as stated by the Hollywood Police Department. Authorities were able to detain Brown’s trainer, but not Brown who left his property. Officers initially arrived at the home at approximately 2 p.m.

Brown’s trainer, Glen Holt, was charged with one count of felony burglary and battery, and was booked Tuesday evening. Brown is said to have hired the moving truck to bring some of his belongings to his Hollywood home before the incident transpired.

The athlete has been making headlines for some time after being moved from several NFL teams starting with the Pittsburgh Steelers then the Oakland Raiders, and recently to the New England Patriots.

Last week, Brown’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, conditionally terminated his professional relationship with the athlete until he seeks counseling, as reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter via social media.

The criminal investigation into the battery is ongoing.
