LONG BEACH—Following the return of students to Long Beach City College from Spring Break, the club’s president and vice-president of the American Sign Language Club are officially planning to host the club’s first event.

Vice-president Daniel Barahona, informed Canyon News that the club’s Deaf Night Cafe event would take place on Wednesday, April 30. The club plans to meet at 5:00 p.m., at the Starbucks near the Long Beach Airport.

Barahona stated that students, as well as anyone interested who knows ASL is welcome to “stop by on [their] study break or at the end of [their] day and meet new people learning to sign.” There is no word yet on when the club plans to end this event or whether the club plans to host any other future events.
