HOLLYWOOD—The walls have closed in on Ian and Jordan on “The Young and the Restless.” Notably, this past week we saw the end of Aunt Jordan who fell into the crosshairs of Claire and that wicked plot that consisted of Nikki, Victor, Victoria and Nick. I will admit it was genius to see Claire’s ‘wicked’ side to come back out yet again, but it raises the question as to whether she is truly reformed or if it was just her getting a taste of vengeance back against her aunt who completely brainwashed her.

Claire managed to get her aunt to a secluded property of the Newmans and I will admit it felt lackluster. Jordan has been this master manipulator for quite some time, and to fall for this just felt sloppy. Was I happy to see her taken out? Without a doubt, but for her to end her reign of terror by poisoning herself was such a bad ending to a juicy storyline. Of course, you have Chance snooping around to try to piece what happened, and the Newman clan lying to protect themselves. Chance, Jordan did actually poison herself, so the case is closed even if it was a trap she was lured into.

No, it is time for the other shoe to fall which involves Ian Ward. I still can’t believe this guy is trying to butter up Tessa, who is actually falling for it. Tessa, your wife Mariah, is telling you how dangerous this man is, and you are ignoring her every word. This tells me something bad is about to erupt because Tessa is not heeding Mariah’s warning, and she would know best.

Mariah is going through it, as that fight with Tessa led to her stumbling upon Sharon who managed to escape being held against her will in that sewer by Jordan. Mariah came to her mother’s aide in the park, just as Nick came to his former wife’s aide. Oh, it is so obvious the writers are planning to reunite Nick and Sharon at some point. What has recently unfolded has only strengthened their bond that much more.

Mariah’s worst fear came to light as Tessa and Aria have gone missing. You don’t have to put on your thinking caps people because it’s apparent who has them: Ian Ward. Sharon is still recovering from having PCP in her system so this news is only going to place her into overdrive as she grapples with her granddaughter being in serious danger.

Oh, and to those who suspected that it was Jordan who murdered Heather, you would be wrong. It was actually Ian per Jordan. So Jordan aligned with him, but she didn’t commit the wicked deed that is going to rock Phyllis, Daniel and Lucy’s worlds. That news hasn’t hit them just yet, and I’m surprised that Phyllis wasn’t more of a pivotal player in this massive story that she had been a part of. Remember it was Jordan who ran her off the road and tried to murder her in the process.

This narrative involving Damian, Amy and Nate is very intriguing. It is starting to feel like Damian might not be Amy’s son or Nate’s half-brother as it was initially expected. I mean he has his own companies so he’s not as destitute as expected, and with Nate presenting an offer to Damian for Winters, we’re about to see some more secrets come to life.

Could Damian be an imposter? It is feeling like that is the case, and if so, then who is the real Damian and where are they? Could this ‘Damian’ have ties to Genoa City that the audience doesn’t know about? Time will indeed tell. Sally and Billy’s romance continues to grow, just as it seems Chelsea and Adam are about to reunite as well, but it seems like Chelsea is doing it for Connor or so she says. That means what will Adam ultimately do to push her further away because they were a family unit many times before, but Adam seems to get in the way of his own happiness time and time again.

However, what a week to culminate with Ian pulling a gun on Michael, Victor and Nick as they demanded he confess to his crimes and spill the whereabouts of Tessa and Aria. Let’s just say it didn’t end the way Ian expected, and it is a bloody mess afterwards that is about to rock Genoa City once again “Y&R” fanatics.
