SHERMAN OAKS—The suspect who stabbed his wife to death in front of their son has been arrested by officials from the Los Angeles Police Department. Aurielo Teran, 39, was taken into custody by authorities on Monday, August 28. According to a press release from the LAPD, a Ventura County Sheriff’s sergeant, responded to a call of a “Pedestrian on the Roadway.” The individual (later identified as Aurelio Teran) was transported to a local hospital. The sergeant recognized the suspect as the suspect on the loose for the murder of his wife, and he was arrested.

Teran fatally stabbed his 31-year-old wife, on Sunday, August 27. Officers from the Van Nuys station arrived to the 4900 block of Woodman Avenue after receiving a call of an “Assault with a Deadly Weapon” (ADW). Upon arrival, officers found the female victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was transported to a local hospital where she later died from injuries sustained.

Authorities have not yet disclosed a motive for the stabbing, but according to reports, the couple’s 12 year-old son witnessed his father stab his mother to death. The knife, believed to be used by Mr. Teran, was recovered at the scene. He fled the location in a Gray, Ford Pick-Up truck. There were no reports of any injuries to the child.
