HOLLYWOOD—I don’t think justice will ever be served when it comes to Ava Jerome on “General Hospital.” This woman has gotten away with murder and just wicked misdeeds. I mean killing Connie Falconeri in cold blood was bad, then getting pregnant with Sonny’s child to protect from his wrath, then she tampered with Morgan’s meds causing him to spiral and die in a fiery crash, she covered for Valentin when it came to Nikolas Cassadine, she nearly killed Esme, She ‘murdered’ Nikolas, she pushed Kristina out of a window resulting in her baby’s death, and tampered with Sonny’s bipolar meds.
Yes, the list of transgressions against Ava Jerome are aplenty, but Ric Lansing the wicked lawyer that he is, found a way to get Ava off. In the process, he might have lost his daughter Molly, Sonny already hates his half-brother to death for what he did to Carly and that panic room years earlier, not to mention Ric just isn’t a nice guy. Yeah, some would say Ric and Ava deserve one another, but as Nina informed her pal, she should be careful of getting entangled with her ex-husband, as it will not end well.
Ava did pay in the worst way when Ryan Chamberlain murdered her daughter after she spoke ill-will of Kiki, but is that the one punishment that absolves Ava from all that she has done? I think not, and I loved that Alexis told Ava not to give her advice when it comes to being a mother. Alexis wanted peace after the verdict, but Kristina was beside herself and at a loss for words that her unborn daughter did not receive justice.
Why is this important? The war between Molly and Kristina is still brewing, and with Molly and TJ currently separated, Molly’s picture-perfect life is falling apart. Kristina on the other hand is brewing with hate. She wants revenge against Ava Jerome and it looks like Sonny might help his daughter ensure that happens. Sonny is lethal when it comes to seeking revenge, and with Kristina to bounce off ideas there is no telling what devious plan these two have cooked up.
Ava is indeed the town pariah in Port Charles right now, so she needs to steer clear of Sonny, Kristina, Molly, Alexis, Carly, Josslyn, Michael, hell, pretty much all of PC. I would love to see Morgan or Kiki’s ghost to really haunt Ava and try to get her to turn over a new leaf because it’s long overdue for her to face the music for all her misdeeds.
With that said, the audience is now FULLY AWARE who poisoned Sam McCall, it was Cyrus Renault. He snuck into Sam’s room and gave her that digitalis that ultimately killed her. Here’s the problem: the audience has no idea why he did it, and that is what has me super intrigued. Why did Cyrus want Sam dead and is it tied to Lulu’s return to life? We know Cyrus was up to something watching Lulu at that facility, so much to the point Lucky and Laura had no idea.
Laura read Cyrus the riot act, and he has been questioned by authorities, he recently had a run in with Dex that raised a red flag as a viewer. Dex could be in some serious danger moving forward because we know what Cyrus is capable of, and a stabbing was proof of that. Josslyn rushed to the hospital to be by Dex’s side, but their romantic tale has lost its spark.
Cyrus’ talk about being reformed only to be responsible for Sam’s death and trying to frame Elizabeth for it? Yeah, Lucky is on the case and he might be surprised with what he discovers about his uncle that he has just recently met.
Speaking of Lulu she is back in Port Charles and catching up with loved ones and learning some serious things that are breaking her heart. Like Luke dying, Sam being the person that saved her life, but later dying, Rocco being so grown, Nikolas being jailed, Nikolas having a son, Spencer being presumed dead, the list goes on and on. This all matters because the quest now is to locate Charlotte who is on the run with Valentin. This has prompted Anna to go into overdrive with Jason to find a way to bring Charlotte back to her family in Port Charles. Carly also went to overdrive and went directly to Jack Brennan hoping h would divulge Valentin’s location for Lulu’s sake.
Drew and Jason’s war has halted for the time being with them both living under the Quartermaine estate for the sake of the children in the midst of Sam’s passing. Drew is still acting like a martyr despite him sleeping with Willow and lying to Michael’s face. Michael knows what happened, Drew and this Curtis hiccup with Aurora is pointless. Curtis, it is a family company; and last time I checked you had no actual experience running a global company. Sorry, I should care, but I truly do not, one single bit.
What matters is how whatever the writers are cooking up will ultimately lead to the exit of Michael Corinthos. I expect it to unfold as we near February Sweeps and plenty of family’s are about to take a blow as a result, “GH” fans.
