SHERMAN OAKS—Hollywood couple Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger are now owners of a Sherman Oaks mansion worth $5.4 million.

The 6 bedroom, 7.5 bathroom two-story mansion was originally built in the late 1980s.

The new property runs 7,888 square-feet and features an indoor basketball court, a gym, and a home theater. The backyard features a swimming pool and an outdoor kitchen.

The pair previously lived together in Canada. They tied the knot in 2013. Before Lavigne wedded Kroeger, she was married to musician Deryck Whibley from 2006 to 2010.

Lavigne is best known for her songs “Girlfriend,” “When You’re Gone,” “Wish You Were Here,” and “My Happy Ending.” Kroeger, also known as “Nickelback,” has been popular in the rock culture for his hit songs “Far Away,” “How U Remind Me,” and “Never Gonna Be Alone.”

The rock star couple crossed paths before Lavigne’s music career rose to fame. She was celebrating her debut single with her ex when she first laid eyes on the musician.
