PACIFIC PALISADES—Actor Ben Affleck returned to rehab to battle his alcohol addiction. The 46 year-old checked into a rehab facility in Malibu on August 22, with the help of his ex-wife, actress Jennifer Garner. Affleck has struggled with alcohol addiction for years, and has been in an out of rehab over the years.

He first admitted to entering a rehab facility regarding his alcoholism in 2001, when he completed a 30-day program. The program the actor is currently undergoing is unknown at the moment. Garner, initiated the intervention for her ex-husband and drove him to the Malibu treatment center.

Since his admittance, Affleck has been seen out of the facility on multiple occasions. Following his treatment, he has approval to leave the premises during the daytime. He was recently seen getting a haircut. He has been seen visiting his home in Los Angeles where he continues to work out on a regular basis. According to reports, Affleck has been doing well since entering rehab.

Affleck won an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay alongside Matt Damon for the 1997 film “Good Will Hunting.” He also won the Oscar in 2013 for Best Picture for “Argo.” He is also known for starring in the films “Armageddon,” “Pearl Harbor,” “Reindeer Games” and “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice,” and “Justice League.”
