BEVERLY HILLS—On Monday, June 14, a Beverly Hills woman named Lisette Lee, 28, who is reportedly an heiress to the Samsung electronics conglomerate was arrested along with three people, she referred to as her assistant/secretary and bodyguards when authorities seized more than 500 pounds of marijuana stuffed inside over a dozen suitcases on board the plane she was flying in.

The group landed at Port Columbus International Airport in Ohio in a chartered private jet, which flew in from the Van Nuys Airport in Los Angeles. Charges against the three traveling companions of Lee’s have not been filed, and they were released pending possible indictments. However, Lisette Lee is being held without bail. Richard Isaacson, a special agent and spokesman for the Detroit division of Drug Enforcement stated, the investigation is still ongoing. Isaacson told the media, Lee has been charged with conspiracy and possession of drugs with intent to distribute.” Lee is facing a possible 40-year prison sentence and fines of up to $2 million.

Authorities also confiscated at the scene, three mobile phones, drug paraphernalia, cocaine and an alleged ledger that showed more than $300,000 in drug transactions.

DEA and law enforcement in Ohio and in California are working jointly on this investigation.
