HOLLYWOOD—Well, the Queen has returned to the foray. To be honest I find this surprising considering that BET no longer plays videos on the network anymore. It’s similar to what MTV has done; I mean I recall when all you witnessed were music videos 24-7 on these Cable network channels.

The nominations for the 2017 BET Awards were unveiled on Tuesday, May 16, and leading all contenders is Beyonce for her visual album “Lemonade.” Beyonce picked up a total of 6 nominations including Album of the Year. The Album of the Year category will be an interesting race, as Beyonce will compete against her sister, Solange who is also nominated for her ablum “A Seat At the Table.”
