BEVERLY HILLS—The Beverly Hills Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify a man who is suspected of attempted robbery. The Beverly Hills Police Department released images of the suspect via Twitter on Wednesday, June 26.

The suspect who is described as male, white, standing 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall and weighs about 170 to 200 pounds. He attempted to steal a woman’s purse on May 30 at 11:12 a.m. The incident transpired on the 9700 block of Wilshire Boulevard near Roxbury Drive. On the day of the attempted robbery, the suspect was seen wearing a black baseball cap with a white logo, a black sweatshirt, and black pants.

According to a statement from the BHPD, “The suspect attempted to pull the victim’s purse from her shoulder causing the victim to fall to the ground. The suspect was unsuccessful in stealing the purse.” Lieutenant Elizabeth Albanese informed Canyon News via email that the victim did sustain minor injuries from the attempted robbery. The crime was reported immediately after it transpired and officials responded to the scene to take the report.
