GEORGIA—Bobbi Kristina Brown, 21, the daughter of the seven-time Grammy winner Whitney Houston, was found face down in a bathtub on Saturday, January 31 in her Georgia home. She was unresponsive.

Her husband, Nick Gordon and a friend found her at around 10:30 a.m. “They attempted to do CPR until police and paramedics arrived,” said Roswell Police Spokeswoman Officer Lisa Holland.

In 2012, her mother was found sunken in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The late singer was pronounced dead from drowning, including the effects of heart disease and cocaine use.

After the Roswell Fire Department was able to get Brown revived and breathing, she was then taken to North Fulton Hospital, where she was placed in a medically induced coma because of swelling on the brain.

According to reports, after Brown was found unresponsive, the fire department told emergency responders that she might have experienced cardiac arrest.

Detectives did discover drugs in the home. “The detectives are treating this as a medical investigation,” said Holland.

Her father, Bobby Brown released the following statement: “Privacy is requested in this matter. Please allow for my family to deal with this matter and give my daughter the love and support she needs at this time.”
