SANTA MONICA—Breeze Bike Share celebrates its one year anniversary on Saturday, November 12. Individuals looking to celebrate the green bike share service will have several opportunities to do so on Saturday.

A community ride throughout Santa Monica will begin at 2:30 p.m. at the 17th Street Metro Expo Line Station. Then, the community ride will proceed into an open house at Breeze headquarters at 1631 Colorado Ave. which begins at 4:30 p.m. Happy Hour refreshments and snacks will be provided to those in attendance. This open house serves as a chance to checkout the facilities at Breeze HQ, meet the crew behind the popular bike sharing service, and celebrate Breeze’s successful first year in Santa Monica.

Breeze will also offer free ride time to those using Breeze Bikes Saturday. Monthly, annual, and student members will not be charged for ride time exceeding the 90 minutes included with your membership. Pay-as-you-go members will not be charged for their ride time, notes a promotion for Saturday’s celebration. It’s noted that “*Out-of-Hub and Out-of-System Area fees still apply during the promotional period.” Participants are encouraged to use the following hashtags on Saturday to spread word of the celebration: #BikeSM, #GoSaMo, and #breezebike.
