DALLAS, TX—Tonight will feature a Game 7 in the NHL Playoffs. Game 6 was not kind to Blues goaltender Brian Elliott as he was pulled in the first period after allowing three goals on just seven shots. The Blues battled back but eventually lost the game, forcing Game 7.

When asked about who would start in net for St. Louis, Head Coach Ken Hitchcock responded that they would go back to their veteran goalie Elliott with resounding confidence.

As reported by ESPN, Coach Hitchcock said, “He’s given us a chance to get to Game 7 again. I couldn’t think of a better opportunity for him or for us. Really, a no-brainer, to be honest with you.”

Aside from the previous game, Elliott has been dominant for the Blues, and a major reason why they have made it this far in the playoffs. He has a .921 save percentage against the Stars in this series and a .926 save percentage overall in the postseason.

Elliott was very strong in Game 7 of the previous series against the Chicago Blackhawks, stopping 31 of 33 shots and sealing the victory for St. Louis.

This Game 7, however, will be played in Dallas at American Airlines Center. The puck is set to drop Wednesday night at 5:00 p.m. PST.
