TOPANGA CANYON—A deceased man in his 30s was found on Tuesday, October 6 seated in his vehicle after local authorities responded to an anonymous radio call of an assault with a deadly weapon.

The car was found on the block of 7200 Eton Avenue in Canoga Park just around 5:50 p.m. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the man was pronounced dead on the scene.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department Blog, the cause of death to be a result of a local “gang-related” incident involving a shooting on Eton Avenue when a car fired several rounds at the targeted car in front of them. A stray bullet then struck the innocent bystander as he was seated in his car after work on Tuesday afternoon. The victim was declared dead at the scene by officers.

The suspects sped off in an unknown direction. Local authorities have declined to release the name of the victim until next of kin is notified. Los Angeles KTLA 5, indicates that the victim is Eduardo Rebolledo-Ramirez, 33, who worked at AOL Heating and Air Inc. He leaves behind two children.

No description of the car or suspects have yet been released. As for who made the call, detectives are leading the investigation.
