HOLLYWOOD—Thanksgiving is almost here, which means that most of us will gorge in scrumptious, delightful desserts. Don’t be intimated by the food police. It’s the holidays and the majority of people just love to celebrate, especially with desserts. On average, most people will gain about 10 pounds from Thanksgiving till New Year’s Day.

Why do people enjoy desserts? It’s comforting. Stressed spelled backwards is desserts, and desserts make people smile since they taste so good. When you think of desserts, you always think of Buddy Valastro of TLC’s “Cake Boss.” Buddy is a very down to earth celebrity baker and chef, who made a mistake by allegedly drinking and driving.

When police officers stopped Buddy Valastro on November 13, they had no idea they were arresting the “Cake Boss,” for allegedly driving while intoxicated. He was arraigned last week at New York City Criminal Court on drunken driving charges. Buddy appeared in a suit and tie and listened quietly to prosecutors describe what happened that early Thursday morning.

Police spotted Buddy’s 2014 canary yellow Chevy Corvette swerving in and out on 10th Avenue, according to authorities. He allegedly had a blood alcohol content of .08 when police stopped him. Valastro is due back in court on January 6. Until then, he is barred from driving in the state of New York. Buddy is best known for his starring role on TLC’s reality show “Cake Boss,” which is filmed at his bakery in Hoboken. His arrest came just a few days after he celebrated the grand opening of another bakery in Marlton. He has five other shops throughout New Jersey. Nothing in the state of California, yet.

While some reality stars are getting arrested, reality star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is packaging her perfume bottle “Snooki Love.” The former “Jersey Shore,” star recently launched the limited-edition wedding fragrance “Snooki Love,” on the Home Shopping Network. Nicole Polizzi is set to marry Jionni Lavalle, with whom she has two children, later this month.

The packaging is inspired by her upcoming nuptials. It features the star’s “Great Gatsby” theme, including a vintage Art Deco theme, incorporating the couple’s black and gold wedding colors in its bottle and package design. She is planning on wearing the fragrance on her wedding days and expects her 15 bridesmaids, who include her “Jersey Shore” cast mates Deena Cortese, Sammi Giancola and Jenni “JWoww” Farley, to do so, as well. According to published reports, the bridesmaids will be gifted with the scent on her wedding day. The fragrance retails for $55 for a and is available on hsn.com.

Rose’s Scoop: Bill Cosby’s Netflix comedy special has been postponed just hours after model and TV star Janice Dickinson accused him of sexual assault. The video streaming company said the premiere of Bill Cosby, 77, will not be aired on November 27, they did not say why or when it may debut.

In the wake of multiple rape allegations, NBC has officially scrapped development of its upcoming project, as well. Cosby, who has never been criminally charged in any case, settled a civil suit in 2006 with another woman over an alleged incident two years before.
