MALIBU-A power outage that affected Malibu on May 4 is suspected to have been caused by a car crash involving a power pole under the Southern California Edison Company.
The outage was reported at around at 8:45 a.m. Lineman worked on repairing the power pole at Heathercliff/PCH, which was restored to the region by noon.
The LAPD is looking into the car crash that damaged the power pole, but the SCE has not determined the official reason for the initial outage.
Neither SCE’s Twitter nor Facebook page reported any information on the incident.
