SANTA MONICA—A vehicle crashed into a building in the city of Santa Monica on Friday, December 6. 

At 1:47 a.m., the Santa Monica Fire Department posted a tweet regarding an accident involving a vehicle and building that occurred on 14th Street and Wilshire Boulevard. Authorities urged the public to avoid the area for safety reasons. 

Canyon News reached out to the SMFD for additional details in which Captain Patrick Nulty confirmed SMFD responded to a report of a traffic collision into a structure at 1401 Wilshire Blvd. Firefighters arrived and found a vehicle on the sidewalk with minor damage to the building. The vehicle had not crashed through the building but the two patients were still treated for minor injuries.

The scene was cleared less than an hour later, where many business surround the intersection.
