HOLLYWOOD—Everyone loves perfume, the French gave the name “parfum” to the smells produced by burning incense. While the first form of perfume was incense, first made by the Mesopotamians about 4000 years ago, ancient cultures burned a variety of resins and wood at their religious ceremonies. One of the primary reasons to wear perfume is the confidence boost it provides. A subtle, enticing fragrance can help you feel more self-assured and put-together.

When you smell good, you are more likely to exude confidence and leave a lasting impression on those you encounter. One who loves perfume is often referred to as a “perfume connoisseur,” a deep appreciation and understanding of the art of scent. One of my favorite perfumes is Crystal Noir by Versace, an oriental floral fragrance. According to Donatella Versace, Crystal Noir is a rare essence, sensual and delicate. The central note of the composition is mysterious gardenia, fresh, sensual, luminous and creamy. It’s actually oriental and musk in the base which makes the scent dark and mysterious and very sensual and distinct. The fragrance was created by Antoine Lie in 2004.

Celebrities love perfume as well. While many celebrities have their own branded perfume, like Paris Hilton, David Beckman, Victoria Beckham, Beyonce and so many more, some of them like to wear designer brands as well. Sofia Vergara loves Baccarat and Arabian Oud-Madawi.  Jennifer Aniston loves Kai perfume oil, which fits her well; it’s such a clean and beach white floral, like smelling warm Hawaiian air. Taylor Swift seems to love Tom Ford’s Santal Blush. It’s a fragrance she’s reported to have worn since her touring days of “Reputation.”

Eva Longoria is a fan of Victoria Beckham’s fragrances. The actress loves to wear Portofino 97, which smells like a glamorous holiday on the Riviera. Victoria Beckham loves the fragrance Vilhelm Parfumerie Room Service, which combines fresh mandarin and blackberry with a comforting musk base, the fragrance was created to capture the glamour of Hollywood in a bottle, think Marilyn Monroe drinking cocktails at the Beverly hills Hotel in her heyday.

Beyonce loves to wear Angels Share by Kilian, a classic that has fruit notes of cognac with blends of warm vanilla and cinnamon spice over a smooth base of sandalwood, making it a truly intoxicating scent. Actress Helen Mirren loves to wear Jo Malone. Model Hailey Bieber, founder of skincare brand Rhode simply loves Ex Nihilo Fleur Narcotique, which has hints of jasmine and peonies.

Singer Adele is a huge fan of Dior’s Hypnotic Poison. Its scent has a soft amber vanilla scent in its fragrance. Rihanna loves Kilian Love, Don’t Be shy, a sweet blend of neroli and marshmallow. Let’s not forget she still wears her own fragrance, Fenty Eau de Parfum. Actress Angelina Jolie loves Histoires de Parfums 1969. It’s a unisex fragrance with opening notes of peach, which gives way to cardamom and clove, and leaves a trail of dark chocolate and coffee. Emma Stone wears Chanel Les Exclusifs de Chanel Gardenia, which has white floral and green notes of orange blossom, gardenia and tuberose.

The late Princess Diana was a huge fan of Hermes 24 Faubourg, it was reported to be her favorite, while she also loved Penhaligon’s Bluebell. Her daughter-in-law, the now Princess of Wales, Kate who’s married to Prince William, loves to wear White Gardenia Petals by Illuminum. A soft, floral scent very hard to find. Byredo Gypsy Water, with beautiful scents of sexy and innocent. Last but not least, Duchess of Sussex, Megan Markle, loves Jo Malone London Wild Bluebell, a perfume that’s light and fresh. On evening occasions, she loves Bulgari Blv II perfume.
