HOLLYWOOD—The roster of celebrity evacuees from the raging wildfires in Southern California reads like the guest list at the Oscars. Miley Cyrus and Gerard Butler are among the many stars whose homes have been destroyed. Other stars including Kim Kardashian-West and Lady Gaga evacuated their homes over the weekend, while keeping their fans on social media updated.

The fires started last Thursday and have killed at least 56 people with over 200 people missing. An estimated 250,000 people have been forced to flee their homes. Miley Cyrus and her fiancé Liam Hemsworth made it out of the fire safely, she tweeted last Sunday. Cyrus urged her fans to donate money, time and supplies, and tweeted a list of charities and foundations working to support others affected by the disaster.

Actor Gerard Butler, returned to his home in Malibu to survey the damage on his mansion and choked up as he spoke about the people who have “lost everything” in the California wildfires. Butler, 49, posted two videos on his Instagram stories, saying that his house is “half gone.”

Robin Thicke is one of the hundreds of thousands who have been impacted as well, by the three devastating fires ravaging the state of California. The “Blurred Lines’ crooner recently returned to his Malibu home he shared with his girlfriend April Love Geary, who is currently pregnant, revealing on Instagram that their home had been destroyed. Thicke, 41, mourns the neighborhood that was destroyed by the flames.

Neil Young confirmed the loss of his house in a statement posted on his website. He also discussed climate change and criticized President Donald Trump. Young’s post referenced the president’s controversial tweet that blamed California’s “gross mismanagement” for the damage caused by the wildfires. According to published reports, this is the second time the rock star has lost his home to a wildfire. The 1978 Malibu firestorm destroyed hundreds of homes, including singer’s at the time.

The fire also reached a ranch that has been the set of several films and TV shows. According to published reports, Paramount Western Town was built for TV productions in the 1950s and was recently used as a location for the first two seasons of the HBO series “Westworld.” The show is not currently in production, but the area has been evacuated. The creator of the reality show “The Bachelor,” tweeted last week that the mansion where the show is filmed was “in grave danger.”

Kim Kardashian and her family evacuated their Hidden Hills home last Friday and had only one hour to pack their things. The reality mogul kept her fans updated through Snapchat and via Instagram stories, sharing photos of the blazing fires. Kim dedicated her People Choice Awards wins to the emergency services that have been dealing with the wildfires.

Caitlyn Jenner, evacuated her Malibu home last week as well, fearing it would be destroyed by the flames. She told her fans on Instagram that she was “one of the lucky ones” because her home had escaped the flames. She posted, “It was devastating out here in Malibu. The hills are totally scorched-fried to say the least.” The reality star has been living there since 2015 and the home has been featured on her reality show “I Am Cait.”

Actor Orlando Bloom shared his views to his 2.1 million followers on Instagram over the weekend. Lady Gaga also evacuated her home, writing several emotional tweets. “I am thinking so deeply for everyone who is suffering today from these abominable fires & grieving the loss of their homes or loved ones,” Gaga wrote. She also thanked the emergency services, calling them “true heroes.”

Guns N’ Roses will end their tour this year, for the first time in Hawaii, at the Aloha Stadium on December 8. According to Billboard, the band’s North American stadium tour in 2017, brought in an estimated $55 million.
