SANTA MONICA—The Santa Monica City Council has re-scheduled the original date to fill the empty Planning Commission seat to Tuesday, February 10.

The decision has been delayed because council member Gleam Davis is unable to attend the meeting for reasons pertaining to work and Mayor Kevin McKeown did not wish to proceed with the decision without a full council in attendance.

The Planning Commission has had an open seat since former member Sue Himmelrich was elected to the City Council in November of last year.

There are currently 10 names on the list of applicants for the position available for viewers to see on the City’s website www.smgov.net.
