LOS ANGELES—The Los Angeles Clippers will face the Portland Trail Blazers in their third preseason game, Thursday October 13, at Staples Center.

This will be the first meeting between the two teams since the Trail Blazers upset the Clippers during the first round of last year’s playoffs. Portland eliminated Los Angeles in six games, after star players Chris Paul and Blake Griffin both went down with injuries. With a healthy starting lineup, center Deandre Jordan expressed his concerns for the team, “I’m not worried about our offense at all, we’re a good offensive team; we just need to jell a little bit. We’re getting a lot of great shots and some of them just aren’t falling. But like I said, we ultimately need to focus on us getting stops and rebounding the basketball”.

After Monday’s 96-94 loss to the Utah Jazz, the Clippers are 1-2 in the preseason standings, while the Trail Blazers have managed to stay undefeated, leading the western conference at 3-0.  Portland is coming off of a win on Monday, October 10 in Staples Center against the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Clippers will journey to Salt Lake City October 17 to face the Utah Jazz, before completing their preseason against the Sacramento Kings on October 18.
