SAN CLEMENTE—On August 10, The Center On Deafness Inland Empire (CODIE) will be enjoying the 2014 San Clemente Street Fair. The festival will be located on the Avenida Del Mar in San Clemente,
CA. The event begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 7:00 p.m.

 

CODIE’s mission statement expresses that CODIE’s purpose “is to ensure equal access of the deaf and hard of hearing community to the same opportunities afforded their hearing counterparts. The organization’s general purposes and powers are directed around the promotion of the social, recreational, cultural, educational and vocational welfare of its deaf and hard of hearing constituents.”

 

According to the City of San Clemente’s website, the festival will have activities for everyone to enjoy; such as, food and game booths, clowns, jugglers, face painters, contests, a salsa challenge, arts and crafts show a business expo, a classic car and motorcycle show and three stages that will host live musical performances.

 

CODIE will be meeting at the Metrolink train a half hour before 9:15 a.m., at the Riverside-Downtown station and at 9:26 a.m. at the Riverside-La Sierra station. The train is scheduled to arrive at the San Clemente Pier at 11:00 a.m.

 

Tickets for a round-trip ticket on the train cost $10. After having lunch in San Clemente and walking around the fair, CODIE will be leaving at 4:49 p.m. via a Metrolink train to return back to the Riverside–Downtown station at 6:34 p.m.
