BEVERLY HILLS—The popular Beverly Hills outdoor series, Concerts on Canon is returning to the Beverly Canon Gardens with two encore performances.

On August 21, live music from the Beverly Hills Blues Band will be on hand for attendees. On August 28, the Westside Jazz Ensemble will be at the Gardens. Sets for each musical event will begin at 6 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.

Canyon News spoke with Brad Meyerowitz, Recreation Services Manager for the City of Beverly Hills-Community Services Department via email.

“We have had an amazing response from the public for this year’s concert series. Attendance has been at an all-time high, with many of the concerts having a standing-room-only crowd. The concert on Thursday, August 21 will feature The Oxymorons, a Beverly Hills Blues Band. On August 28, Gary Greene, Esq., and his Big Band of Barristers, will perform. The Big Band of Barristers will play music from the golden era of big bands. Both shows start at 6pm and are held in Beverly Canon Gardens Park, located at 241 N. Canon Drive,” said Meyerowitz.

The Beverly Canon Gardens provides ample seating and plenty of grassy area for picnics. Tables and chairs are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Attendees are encouraged to grab outdoor dining from the many restaurants in the city or pick-up “to-go” boxes from eateries.

Parking will be available in the Beverly Canon Gardens parking structure located on 241 N. Canon Drive. Parking will also be available at 242 N. Beverly Drive.
