PACIFIC PALISADES—An elderly couple will return to court for sentencing on March 6, in a hit-and-run incident that killed a young man two years ago.

David Pregerson, 23, was walking on Chautauqua Blvd in Pacific Palisades when he was allegedly hit by the couple.

Marguerite Vuong, 67,  the driver, was on her way to work as a postal worker, along with her husband Michael Vuong, 67, who was also in the vehicle.

Pregerson was an aspiring filmmaker. He was taken to UCLA medical center where he died three days later on December 31, 2013.

According to a press release from the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, Marguerite Vuong entered a no contest plea to one count of leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death on February 6.

Her husband entered a no contest plea to one count of accessory to hit and run causing death. He attempted to halt his wife avoid prosecution by claiming to be the driver of the vehicle.
