STUDIO CITY – A car with no driver was found off the southbound 101 freeway near Vineland Avenue in Studio City on May 6.
The Los Angeles Fire Department was reported by the Los Angeles Daily News to have responded to a call notifying them about the crashed vehicle. According to the report, a “heavy-rescue crane” was used to remove the car from the crash site.
Evidence has suggested that the driver was a woman, judging by the items and documents found in the car. The report indicated that the LAFD determined the crash to be potentially fatal, however, there was no body found in or near the vehicle.
The LAFD did not report this incident on any of their social media sites. The missing victim has not yet been identified. Canyon News reached out to the LAFD, but did not hear back in time before print.
