WEST HOLLYWOOD—Authorities from the Los Angeles Police Department along with detectives from the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department believe that a series of crimes in the recent weeks are connected. Authorities have described the suspects in the crimes as two Hispanic males.
The West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station responded to call of shots fired on August 22. When deputies of West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station arrived the on the scene, they found shattered glass around the vehicle, where one female and one male fled after being shot at. Neither were injured during the shooting.
The victims in the vehicle informed the deputies that they had been driving onHighland Avenue from Universal City, when they came in contact with a Tan/Gold Chevrolet SUV. The suspect, a Hispanic male was driving beside them and kept looking over at their vehicle.
The victims drove along Santa Monica Boulevard where they noticed the SUV behind them driving with no headlights. The suspect later drove beside the victim’s passenger side as they turned onto Gardner Street before gunshots were fired.
On August 24, at around 5:50 a.m., San Fernando Police Department officers responded to a call of a shooting that occurred on the 1400 block of Celis Streetwhere five people were victims. Three people sustained gunshot wounds, another individual suffered severe injuries and a 20-year-old female was fatally injured. The family of five were on their way to attend an early morning mass.
On August 24 at around 6:35 a.m., Mission Division officers got a call from LAFD Station No. 91 about reports of gunfire on the 13000 block of Broden Avenue near the Sylmar Recreational Center. Officers found, a Hispanic male between 25 and 35 years old with a gunshot wound. The victim died at the scene.
About 10 minutes later at 6:45 a.m., Foothill Division officers responded to the 12900 block of Fillmore Street in Pacoima where they discovered the body of a Hispanic female in her 50s, who was shot in the head. She was pronounced dead on the scene.
Authorities have no further information on descriptions or details regarding the suspects.
