HOLLYWOOD—We’re wrapping up November sweeps, by putting the spotlight on the NBC soap “Days of Our Lives.” While some major players have left the canvas in recent weeks, farewell Sami Brady and EJ DiMera, things are still conspiring in the town of Salem.
One of the biggest came to its feverish peak when Kristen DiMera decided to steal the embryo inside vixen Theresa and have it implanted in her. Yes, it sounds crazy, but Kristen is one lady you don’t want to mess with. While the villainous one has left the compound, rumors have already surfaced she’ll be making a return to town in the spring.
It’ll be interesting to see the results as we know she’ll be totting around town claiming to be preggers with either Brady’s child or Daniel’s. Things could get dicey. Speaking of Brady, he’s doing all in his power to rid himself of Theresa and his former friend Daniel who he suspects has betrayed him. Daniel and Maggie got the surprise of a lifetime when Melanie returned back to Salem. Yep, she has returned to town and appears to be keeping a whopper of a secret. Nicole was definitely onto the fact that her new BFF was keeping a bit of a secret.
Glad to see her back I must say as the love triangle between Ben, Abigail and Chad will heat up even more. Remember, Chad and Melanie were once an item, so competition is in the air. Chad has indeed proven himself to be the spawn of Stefano DiMera as he blackmailed Kate and has been pushing all buttons possible to irritate Ben and his burgeoning relationship with Abigail.
In another twisted love triangle, Mama Eve did the unspeakable when she chose to bed her daughter Paige’s boyfriend J.J. The two have been dancing around the issue for sometime, so imagine the fireworks when Paige discovers the ultimate betrayal from the two people she trusts the most?
Clyde, the father from hell is finding a formidable foe in Marlena who has a great read on people and their true intentions. While the audience has known for months that Kate is the reason he came to town, Jordan has finally put the pieces of the puzzle together to uncover the truth, just as her relationship with Chad heats up. Her nemesis is willing to do anything to take out the competition, so what will Jordan do? She’s gone to great lengths to conceal her identity, and protect her brother Ben, but could murder be next on her list?
With Jordan expected to exit the “Days” canvas in the coming weeks, one of two things will happen: she will murder someone or she will be murdered! I’ve said it before a great murder mystery always sets the stage for interesting narrative.
It appears the soap is dropping tidbits of all the crazy action they are planning for the next few weeks. “Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays at 1 p.m. on NBC.
