SAN LEANDRO – On March 8, the city of San Leandro will host a meeting in its Town Hall to discuss the fate of the Deaf Community Center. The Town Hall which was established under the DCARA (Deaf Counseling Advocacy &Referral Agency) in 1962 a charitable nonprofit organization, will hold this meeting to discuss the present and future of this Deaf Community Center. The event will be hosted by the new DCC Coordinator Angela Willow wants to discuss “How the community can use the DCC.”

To date the DCARA is one of the largest deaf service agency in Northern California and has many branches from the Santa Cruz area to the Oregon Border. With this meeting Willow hopes to find further ways to better the community and to spread the word about the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community, in order to better the DCC.
